Today we started exploring a new text type – information texts. We discussed what we used information texts for, and some of the key features: title, contents, glossary and index. In the next few weeks the children will be learning to create their own!
You could support your child further by reading information books with them and discussing and using the features of the texts. Can they tell you the definitions of those features?
