This morning we have had some special gymnastics coaching with Tim Knibbs. We used the gym equipment and thought about how we travel, how we balance and how we dismount.

Guess Who – part 2!
In Computing this week we are continuing with our learning about Questioning and using binary trees to sort information. We are using a 2Question database on Purple Mash to answer questions about the avatars we sorted last week and find out their names! Soon we will be ready to create our own!
Here are the classes in action – some great teamwork also happening today!
Arctic Quest visit!
Year 2 had a wonderful afternoon today having a visit from some huskies! We learnt all about the dogs, what they do and even got a chance for a stroke! The children (and adults!) really enjoyed it!
Thank you and well done to everyone who gave and collected sponsor money to make this visit possible.

Arctic Quest are coming!!

Our surprise visitors arrive tomorrow afternoon!
Vickie from Arctic Quest is bringing her team of Huskies to Coopers Edge.
Take a look at her website to see some of the dogs in action: http://www.arcticquest.co.uk

Are you any clearer?
Our visitors are approaching…can you guess who they are?

Another clue…
Well done to all the children who have worked as a team this term to cover 1,785 daily miles to the South Pole and back…
You deserve an exciting reward to celebrate your achievements!
Today’s clue is:

Guess who our surprise visitors are…
We’ve had some great guesses. Will it be Ranulph Fiennes? Maybe another famous explorer? Could it be Eskimos or Penguins? What about Father Christmas or some of his elves?
Ready for another clue?
Our visitors are great diggers and can scoop out holes in the snow to make a place to burrow and shelter themselves from the wind.
Please remember to return your sponsor money by Friday 6th Dec.
Mountain rescue!
Today at Forest School we were pretending to be lost explorers! We used the signal of 3 bells or whistles to help people find us! We had great fun hiding!

Fun at Forest School!
Comparing habitats
In science we have been learning about different habitats and the animals that live in them. Today we were showing what we know and comparing the habitats by sorting the names of habitats, different animals and facts about them!
Ask your child if they can tell you which animal lives in the jungle and has webbed feet to help them swim! The answer might surprise you!
